Recommended for lunch and supper, haven't tried their breakfast yet. Lively place, usually busy, no reservations, but if there is a lineup they move through it fairly fast. Good service, good food, large portions. Had one small incident where I accidentally got lemon wedges rather than fries as definitely asked. Server (seemed newish) first wanted to charge $5 to get fries. Quick check with manager fixed that. Will definitely go back. Pic of filet of sole on large plate.

The River

All the items on the menu are great! This location also has a great view of the river. A wonderful stop for lunch, dinner or just drinks and snacks on the patio.

We booked the large private room on the second floor for a family celebration of 22 people. Lots of space, beautiful decor and fun atmosphere! Management and staff were so attentive, polite, sweet and kind. They made the happy occasion even more special! All covid rules were observed by the staff, making us feel safe. The food was delicious, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. We ordered large appetizer platters and a wide variety of mains and ALL were excellent. Prices are reasonable and portions are huge. We will definitely be booking again and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a smaller venue for a family or friend get together.

We had a lunch catered and delivered to our home on a Sunday for about 25 people. We ordered skewered souvlaki chicken, lemon potatoes, Greek & Cesar salads. The quality of the food was amazing! Lots of compliments from the guests, going back for seconds, the platters were a great size, the potatoes were still piping hot on arrival, lovely and appealing presentation and the delivery was right on time, as they had stated! Service was great, they were responsive to confirm everything on the day of, so we felt confident that everything had been coordinated, and sure enough, it was a success!! They were even able to accommodate with dairy-free options for some of the guests that had food allergies, by substituting with fries, steamed veggies & salad without cheese (chicken was already dairy-free)! Would highly recommend for a large group of people and would certainly do it again! Food was a big hit!!

Hadn't been in a while and had forgotten how nice this restaurant is. Beautiful location and the restaurant inside is stunning. They've really worked hard to make this restaurant feel welcoming. There are plenty of tables over 2 floors and lots of areas where groups can meet and feel separate. Food was tasty, service prompt and courteous and the place was very clean. Masks not required when seated, vaccine card check at the door as mandated. Great place to take a date or have an event.

The 20 ounce Porterhouse was absolutely delicious, the soup was awesome, lemon potatoes well next time we get fries, overall experience was very good.

Delicious food but service is only okay. The service at this location seems to always be hit or miss. Half the time we get fantastic service and half the time I wish I had just stayed home. Recently, we showed up to order some take out and the lady who took our order didn’t know how to punch in our order nor how to take our payment. You would think that a trainee wouldn’t be left alone to take orders. I waited 15 minutes to get my order punched in let alone waiting for it to be prepared. Things to try: - The fried pita chips and spinach dip appetizer - Death by chocolate cake

Appetizers where amazing but main course was a different story salad was so over dressed it should have been soup. 1 Greek salad came with tomatoes 1 without and I ordered fish, I'm not real sure that's what they brought me. Sorry to say but I don't think I'll be back.

Great food and drinks! The corona huts on the patio give off a very "vacation-y" feel, however because of covid the staff was very overwhelmed and you could tell by the service. We got in very quickly, but waited over 25 minutes for our drink order (just 2 of us) to come. Once we ordered food it came really fast and we were sort of rushed out.

What amazing service that was provided by Phyllis! When 2 other places did not come to the table for a function of 30 people, Phyllis was able to make it happen for me. Called on a Friday, she worked out a menu and the result was incredibly tasting food on a Sunday evening.. with lots of left overs. Fantastic, thank you!

Great staff and a casual environment. Menu has a lot of options, but they're best at burgers. The other dishes are good, but not spectacular. However, portions are fairly large and that justifies the price in my books. The patio is definitely the best part and will keep you coming back

Went to the patio on a Sunday night. Service was ok. Servers were wearing masks but most of them were not wearing them properly. Ordered some nachos. But I could have made them better at home. Old Dutch circular style chips and dumped a lot of beans on there - which wasn't mentioned in the menu - a hint of green onion and tomato. Main dish of the steak sandwich platter. The menu said home cut fries. Instead I got the same fries you get a McDonalds. For the price of food. Not my first choice to come back.

Pretty sweet patio. Menu is average, some good selections. I got the chicken cordon blue burger, grilled chicken ham cheese mushrooms and sauce on garlic bread. It comes open face but I closed that up and it was pretty top notch. If only a restaurant out there would use good quality ham instead of deli meat lol

Had our work Christmas party here. Really nice decor. The only issue was that we were seated upstairs and they had the railings wrapped in garland type stuff to the point where you couldn't even use the railing. Not a bright idea when people are wearing heels and want to make sure they don't fall and break their necks.

Have ordered teriyaki top sirloin with the fettuccine Alfredo through skip twice and quite love it. Especially when they give lots of sauce on the steak. Must taste much better when we order for dine it, cant wait when this pandemic is over!

I ordered dinner for two adults, two kids with one appetizer, for pick-up because my husband has a compromised immune system. When I got to the restaurant I found that most of my order had been mistakenly given away to a Skip The Dishes driver. The manager was summoned to tell me the food was being remade, a kind employee offered me a seat but I was uncomfortable staying inside so said employee offered to bring it to my vehicle. They had the food remade in under ten minutes and it was amazing, better than I expected. In these difficult/ constantly changing times, mistakes like this are bound to be made and how a problem is corrected speaks to the functionality of an establishment. This was my first visit to the Pembina location but it won't be my last. Thanks for the great food and excellent service!

Ashleigh was an amazing energetic server who was friendly and catered to our needs all night. Restaurant was conveniently placed next to our hotel and close to the downtown district. Food was prepared well and tasty, especially if you plan on drinking. The only dissatisfaction we had was with the lack of drink specials and pricing. Otherwise, it was an amazing experience and the atmosphere made our vacation. Thank you Ashleigh, and thank you Pony Coral!

Called about a week ago to make a reservation but when we arrived they had no record of it. Despite this, we were still able to get a nice table on the patio. Our waitress was very friendly and observant and the food arrived quickly and was pretty good. There was a nice fire pit on the table and lights around the patio which made the atmosphere much more inviting and cozy. Would love to go back one day!

Wow, a gem tucked away...will definitely be coming back! This location is tucked away near the river...so you've got a nice view of the Red River if you sit outside on their awesome patio or sit indoors, in their spacious, air conditioner dining room area. Where to start...I tell you, everything about this place is fabulous. I'll break it down for you... Parking: FREE and ample. They've got parking in the old Wendy's lot, as well as all the way down to the river...so you'll definitely find a spot. Upon entry, you are asked to sanitize your hands with their supplied hand sanitizer and the hostess greets and seats you promptly (space permitting of course). We opted to dine on the patio and were seated in one of their cabana seating areas. They've got fans going in there for you to beat the heat...or come those cooler nights, they've got heaters installed...so you'll be enjoying this patio space even on those cooler nights! This place was entirely sanitized before we were seated (the benches were still wet...so good sign!) The waitress was super professional and good at her job. She took our drink order first, then food order. During our visit, the owner of the restaurant came to check in on us. Very impressed! Menu: There is something for most every dietary restriction here...at least the more common ones...you want steak? They've got it! You want breakfast? They'll keep you fed! You only eat fish? They've got you covered. Are you a vegetarian? They have options for you too! And when I say options, I mean options...not just one or two things...there was easily 7 or 8 items marked as vegetarian...I was happy to see the selection! Value: The food was delicious and the portions were generous...you may be taking food home! The price was right too...not super expensive, especially considering the amount of food you get and the experience. Overall atmosphere: A very nice place to just enjoy yourself, have a nice conversation, enjoy a meal...while it is off Pembina, it isn't loud with traffic as it is tucked away...that's what I mean...it is a gem tucked away...you've got to visit. It is good for the whole family...young, old, young at heart, and everyone in between! Inside the restaurant is huge...honestly you cannot judge this place from the outside...I felt as if I stepped into another place...dare I say I felt like I was on vacation! I'm not sure why I waited so long to try Pony Corral Pembina...I know I won't wait so long to return! Thank you!

😊 Our Lunch Steak was Perfect! 🍷Be sure to Read about the History of this family business. We Visited twice while traveling through Winnipeg. Staying next door at the BW we walked. Chancing upon this Gem was A Great Experience. The patio with huts with plastic wind protection made it festive during our 39th Anniversary & Covid-19 distancing Safe! 🥳 The heaters were welcoming since it’s early October and the gas 🔥 fire patio table heaters were beautiful. The reason for returning again the next evening. Amazing Atmosphere. The dessert was delicious and nicely displayed. The Staff and Owner took time to answer our Questions. The Red River walk behind the Restaurant will be Forever Memorable since seeing deer. Eat Here! 😋

I loved their patio! You can have great view of the pier. The customer service was fantastic. The waitress was helpful and kind. We went during the happy hour on a weekend. It starts at 9pm. There is half price chicken wings and riblets. There are many seasonings to choose from. Our drinks were good. But, I should say that the chicken wings were tasting a bit overcooked. Overall, this is a nice place to celebrate a special occasion or simply to eat.

I was at this restaurant two days in a row. My first experience was great. Friendly staff and very quick service. Very clean and inviting restaurant. I was on the patio which was awesome. They had live entertainment and the performer was very good. The second night I brought my wife and daughter. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday. It was very busy. We had a good waitress. She was always asking us if we needed another drink. Now the not so good stuff. It took us over 45 min to get out nacho appetizers. Way too long. Then it took another 45 min to get our main course. When we got it only two out of the three orders arrived. It took another 12 min to get the last order. Unacceptable. Without me complaining the waitress apologized and said she would talk to her manager to get a discount. She did and they took off half of the total for the meal that came out last. I must say the food was tasty. As for going there I would recommend this restaurant and bar. Maybe just go when it's not so busy.

My friends and I went there for wing night yesterday. Our waitress didn’t really acknowledge us nor did she provide us with an overall good experience. She first got my order wrong, gave me someone else’s drink, never came to our table to see if we needed anything, and she kept taking our plates even though we weren’t finish. The owner came to our table and started a conversation with us (really nice guy). However once the owner came to our table, our waitress’ attitude completely changed. Maybe she was just tired? But anyways, the wings were really really good!

Been here a couple of times for functions for work and for coworkers retirement parties and its medicore at best. Food is decent and its really hit or miss but more miss. I was here last for Le Burger week and the burger was delicious from what I can remember. The redeeming quality of this place is probably the patio in the back that's right by the river. Great for sitting down and just having drinks with some friends and family. Live music sometimes on weekends, check it out, make your own opinion.

Really really really loved the patio! Cannot say enough about it because there was a wonderful musician play music and the Ambiance was wonderful! In addition our waiter was fabulous. He was so nice so helpful so patient... Really can't say a bad word about him! Only shortcoming truly was the food. Enjoyed the chicken livers but the fries were cold. In my experience, restaurants are always better when the kitchen is busy. Return visit anytime soon is iffy.

First time at a restaurant since March due to Covid19 pandemic. The restaurant felt very safe. Tables were spaced out properly according to guidelines. We sat outside in a Tiki hut. Hand sanitizer was supplied on the way in. Waitress was awesome and food was delicious. Very pleasant experience. Food was reasonably priced. I would go again.

The docks need serious work if you're planning on taking your boat here. They were poorly planned as evidence by the height (the sit so high that your bumpers will be useless). They also have no steps to connect them to dry land....which is strange, as they are brand new, and the old docks they had before were simple, had steps, and were the normal height any dock should be. Service is excellent, and the food is great. Awesome patio, but it needs to be closer to the river for a better view. The prices are a tad steep.

Probably the best patio in the city! The patio overlooks the river, is large and sunny, but with lots of umbrellas and tiki lounges for larger groups. There is live music, that is typically pretty mellow and fun that plays cover songs. My last visit, our server was great (we went early on a Saturday evening) but typically I expect the service to be slower, so don't complain, you've been warned!

Definitely nice views and a beautiful restaurant! The serving staff is friendly, but the service was a little slow and disorganized. The food itself is good but not great. The ribs were good, but the steak was too tough. The manager was walking around in a golf shirt and shorts and didn't look like a manager at all. He should look the part! Overall, not too bad..

Our waitress was great, other than that it was ok. Pepe Cortes was a great entertainer, we sat on the patio and enjoyed the music. The patio itself is showing its age and could really use an upgrade... and a Gardener! My husband loved his burger and salad, but as a vegetarian I was disappointed that there were zero options. Lots of parking and depending where you sit you could have a view.

I was there with a large group for lunch so I expected it to be a bit slower but not as slow as it was. It took 30 mins just for us to get menus. I ordered the gyro which tasted good but was too dry. The fries and gravy on the other hand were very good. 3 stars because I had lots of people there to talk to while we waited otherwise probably more like 2 stars.

Been here a couple times the last couple days while on business. Had the peppercorn new york steak and the chicken souvlaki, both were very good and cooked perfectly. Service was very good and the atmosphere was lively but not over the top. On warmer days the patio is great to hang out at but can get busier than inside. Overall very happy with my experiences and will be back!

I celebrated New Years Eve 2019 here! The band The Goods were playing and they were excellent. Great music! Service was great. Our server kept everyone's drinks topped up 😉 The dance floor was a bit cramped but everyone ended up just dancing everywhere. The Christmas tree by the dance floor was beautiful and at the stroke of midnight a net of balloons fell upon us all to bring in 2020! We all received a complimentary glass of champagne just before midnight. I would deffinately celebrate New years eve here again!

Best advice is to book a table upfront. Very friendly and attentive waitresses, but this time the meals werent that good as usual. Rice was hard, sparerips weregoid in the first serving but the second serving from a very bad quality. So yes....we came here multiple times and we will come again, but.....

I like the place especially in the summer. Their patio is very nice and offers good sitting options for couples or big groups. You can sit in one of the shelters if you are a group or around one of the tables with an open fire to keep you warm. A nice breeze comes up from the river and offers some fresh cooking air. The food is good and the music too, which sometimes features live bands and other times a deejay.

The food was good, except the giant hotdog. It was bland and tasted like lard. The patio on an evening in May was chilly. Would have been nice to have one of the tables what have a fire in the centre. Customer service was good. We had a rude server but the other hostesses and managers and bus boys were super great. The managers are often around checking in on people, and are super awesome.

The ambiance on the outdoor patio is great, the service was excellent. We met with friends for appetizers. On the appetizer menu the ribs were pricey but good, wings very good, the pita bites, for what they are are way over priced. There was live music when we were there and over all a good experience.

Has a really nice patio with tiki huts which backs onto the river. Food is pretty average, hard to decide with such a large menu. Service was okay. I had the reuben sandwich which was good. I also had the golden boy burger which was featured in le burger week. It was dry and not very good. So it's kind of hit or miss

My workplace booked a private area for a dinner here - area was clean an private, with a bunch of Windows with curtains and a view of the giant disco ball that hangs over the main floor. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. One coworker made a mistake in her order and the staff were quick at helping her substitute something else for her meal. A great place to go - reservations recommended.

Great place with tons of space. It has 2 floors with an elevator for those who need it. Food is pretty good most of the time and service has always been great for me. My sister and I go there for wrestlemania every year, just the 2 of us. We even met WWE legend Edge there one year. Prolly not a common thing, but it was pretty cool for us.

Always a pleasant dining experience here. Never had a bad meal, Chicken Greek salad is phenomenal. As is the Reuben sandwich. Highly recommend the Gyros aswell. Solid menu all around. Good restaurant with good food. Portions could be a little bigger, and the service was not perfect, but no issues. My favorite part is the popcorn bar they have at the back of the restaurant - great for an appetizer while you wait for your dishes.

Wings were delicious, waitress was very good and nice, however the mojito I ordered was the worst I have ever had! It was so awful I had to send it back and I am a fan of that drink normally. Traded for a long island iced tea which turned out much nicer, and server was very nice about it.

Visited for the first time and wow, the patio is the best patio I seen.. sitting there feeling like I'm somewhere on vacation the way they decorated it. Plus you're looking at the red river. Service was great and the food as well.

The place is very nice, service is decent. Food is good. However they play the music very loud. So you have to almost yell or sit very close to one another to hear. If you sit on the main floor. If you are on the upper floor it isn't as loud, but you would have to talk loud to be heard.
