Viaggio's Reviews and comments
Absolutely amazing! I loved every single dish + drinks that we had. Cute cozy atmosphere inside. Truly a hidden gem. Service is very friendly & they are very helpful. I will be back to try more dishes & drinks off there menu.
Wow! This place is special. Everything from the salad, to the pastas, to the very unique tiramisu pancakes for dessert were incredible! Wines were great value and paired well. My only regret is not getting a pizza for the table, but we saved it for next time
Great experience every single time. Seasonal food, local, or homemade. Always amazing! Upsetting to see people writing b.s reviews just because they couldn’t get a seat for not having their proof of
Vaccines.
It’s currently the law and restaurant businesses have suffered to stay afloat for the last 1yr and 8 months. They shouldn’t be punished by patrons for following the rules.
No shirt - No service.
No shoes - No service.
No vaccine proof - No dine in service.
If you can’t then just stay home and order in.
We are all trying to survive the pandemic.
The patio is great. Service was excellent. Loved the pizza bread and cucumber dill salad. We tried the green pasta, made in house, it was pretty good. We also ordered the pepperoni pizza and I think that was our least favourite thing we ordered. I would highly recommend this place. Make sure you save room for the tiramisu pancakes, they are delicious.
Amazing service and pasta to die for! We got the bone marrow pasta upon the server's recommendation and it tasted like heavy on earth. The sauce was rich but not too overpowering and the pasta was cooked al dente.
The tiramisu pancake with the "show" ended the night on a perfect note.
May be tough to get a table but once you’re in you’ll forget about the wait. The food is perfection - I don’t remember the name but the strawberry topped cake in a jar was some of the best cake I’ve had.
Food was delicious! Will definitely be back.
A great small restaurant on Dundas. They have a nice outdoor seating area which is closed in the winter time. But inside is warm and cozy with a great ambiance. The server was friendly and the food was delicious. The cucumber salad and the Brussels sprouts were awesome and the ribeye steak was great. I highly recommend this place.
Consistently one of the best restaurants in Toronto! Drinks are awesome and the food is unreal! The mushroom dumplings with ricotta are unbelievable and the flank steak is cooked to perfection. I love their gorgeous outdoor patio, it’s beautiful rain or shine! I will definitely be back as often as I can.
My girlfriend and I decided to try their special NYE menu, the vegetarian & the meat option. The food was beyond excellent, completely exceeded our expectations! We will be back to try more of their menu soon.
These pancakes are so freakin good! John was also amazing! Cute patio, great for date night! Thanks for the good food and good vibes!
Pros: Amazing food. High quality ingredients and unique pairings. Handmade pastas. Great dessert too! Service is quick.
Cons: extremely small portions. Literally left hungry but we didn't order an appetizer.. Was forced to sit in the mediocre patio because they strangely decided to not open the dining room for the night. Not a very neutral politically business and it shows.
A pitch perfect evening. Unobtrusive but present service, always impeccable food. Brought first timers with me and as always, being the one to pick the place has its concerns. I never worry when I bring people here. I know they will always be impressed without ever feeling talked over. Service, food, music levels, is all as it should be.
This place has the best Tiramisu Pancake and amazing coffee! Must try!
Fabulous service wonderful food and atmosphere
Amazing restaurant! The chef is from Italy and you can tell! The food was delicious and inventive. My new favourite neighbourhood restaurant for special occasions.
Cozy gem and good food! Great place to take a date! Tiramisu pancakes was the hit of the night! Negroni & Cucumber salad were excellent! Service was a little flat, would of been better if the staff interacted with the table a bit more or at all. Definitely will go back again
One of the nicest restaurants that I have ever gone two. Love the new policy about vaccine policy and makes me feel very safe. The food is also on another level, I highly recommend this place.
One of my favourite places to eat in Toronto. Fabulous patio, food always on point and friendly staff. Get the tiramisu pancakes. You won't regret it.
Love this place. Appreciate the care they take in making me and my family feel safe when we visit. Also, some of the best food in the city. Definitely a hidden gem.
This place is absolutely darling. It’s not very big, though I have yet to see their patio (this is a late post, I went around spring). There is so much natural light flowing into the space, and there is just this calmness to the atmosphere. Mind you, we made a reservation, and were just one of two tables on an early Saturday night.
Our waiter was great with his recommendations, and was very attentive. The pastas were delicious, though I liked the red-sauced paccheri more. We also ordered squash blossoms and deviled eggs - both great. The portions were filling, so we didn’t need desserts. The menu rotates based on locally sourced ingredients so we should go back.
There’s plenty of street parking nearby.
What a wonderful place. We had brunch and it was excellent. Highly recommend the stake and eggs, and the Truffle scramble
Didn’t know what to expect when I first came in. Cute, hidden patio. Had the feature cocktail a “Spanish Fizz” as per my servers suggestion, it was delicious and balanced. (I appreciated that as a fellow bartender.) The food and cocktails were high end but with zero pretentiousness. (Also, every cocktail on their menu and almost every glass of wine, which were very curated offerings, were all $14.00! No better deal in the city.) All that said, I think I found my new fave spot in Toronto.
Avocado toast was like Okonomiyaki 👌🏻👌🏻
Sourdough bread was really good.
I wish I can buy whole bread.
First time diner and I’m hooked. My friends invited me to meet them here and I was excited for a spicy pasta. (I’m usually drawn to an Amatriciana kinda thing…) I asked my server for a suggestion and she told me to order the Nduja sausage and bone marrow pasta. It was honestly the best suggestion, it’s like she read my mind and then blew my mind because the flavours in this pasta were so incredibly complex and interesting. One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Shout out to our server Helen for her amazing recommendations! Will definitely be back
Have dined at Viaggio numerous times before, for dinner and the food and service have always been out of this world. Came in today for the first time for brunch, The peameal panino , Avocado toast and and shrimp and grits are not to be missed! Also, appreciated the care all the staff took in making sure everyone (including those seated outside) had their vaccination papers. Witnessed one group of people who did not have their papers get turned away at the door. Honestly, good on you for taking such great care to make sure your guests and staff both remain, and FEEL safe. Props to our server John who was hustling.
Delicious food and great service! My sister told me about this place before so I was excited to try it and I was not disappointed. I especially enjoyed the calamari!
WAIT STAFF was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and absolutely lovely! We really enjoyed our time having some drinks and a few appetizers. t
Thank you so much!
finally got around to coming here for my birthday dinner last week (friday dec 10/2021) and am so glad we did! the space itself is warm and inviting - comfy cozy banquettes and a chilled out motown inspired playlist, with staff who are knowledgable about the menu without being pretentious. as expected, it was bustling on a friday evening, but we didn't feel cramped or rushed at all. the servers covering the dining room (jon and marion) paced everything so comfortably, even though we showed up towards the end of dinner service. my partner & i had a couple of cocktails & glasses of wine as well a few appetizers (burrata, olives, and focaccia are a must have) as well as a main to share (bone marrow + n'duja mafaldine - wildly rich in the best way with the most perfect noodles i've had in recent memory) and dessert (TIRAMISU PANCAKES, plz do not sleep on these!!) for which the chef came out of the kitchen to serve table side with our espresso at the end of the night. big time chef kiss to the entire team. my only complaint is that we were too full to order the other entree we were eyeing - i'll be back for the rabbit pappardelle before it's gone for the season. xo!
Went for the lovely looking patio, but the food and service are just as fantastic!
Italian food with gluten/dairy free options too - wow!
Yummyyy!! I can't stop thinking about my dinner at Viaggio.... It has been so long that I have been this impressed with a restaurant in Toronto. The menu has something for everyone and is so thoughtful and unique without being fussy, as is the service. There were a few of us so we ordered every appetizer (and then a second order of one of them), a couple pastas and pizzas and then 2 of the tiramisu pancakes. It was a lot of food but we wanted to try as many dishes as possible because the food was so delicious! After the first bite of each dish we tried, it was a symphony of "mmmmmmm!!!" around the table. My friends had cocktails, they looked fantastic and they confirmed that they were. I'm so glad I was put on to this place from a friend and ever since I've been telling everyone I know who really appreciates good food to go.... GO!!
Lovely quaint interior, great atmosphere for a private meal with a partner or a small group of friends. The meal was well balanced in all flavors, perfectly portioned and delicious. The truffled trico blew all expectations out the water, and the drinks menu was lovely and on point.
It's easily accessible from public transport, and I cannot sing enough praises about the service. Would highly recommend this restaurant to any food lover, and would definitely come back again.
The food was super tasty and the atmosphere was great! Our server was John and he did a wonderful job making sure we were satisfied with everything. 5/5!
Stuff is very funny and fun to interact with food is incredible and they have interesting options
Had a wonderful family celebration here and Joe and his team were accomodating and welcoming. The pasta was perfection. The squash flower appys and the famous Tiramisu pancakes were especially memorable.
Highly recommend for brunch or dinner !!
Delicious food, great ambience, awesome service (Jimmy is fantastic!). I've enjoyed both brunch (peameal bacon panino is the most delicious breakfast sandwich ever) and dinner (the mushroom pasta was so good we had to order it twice), and everything was mouthwatering. Plus, my small dog was welcomed onto the patio! New favourite neighbourhood spot, can't wait to return.
Their recent cafe and brunch menu just seals the deal with how fantastic and versitle this restaurant truly is and so proud that they're in the neighborhood. I was especially excited when i learned that they were opening a cafe and sure enough Their pastries check off all the boxes to what defines a true french pastry and Thier lattes are also a work of art. 👏👏👏
Great and cozy patio with lovely staff and an exciting menu. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was delicious
The tiramisu pancakes are simply perfect in every way and definitely something you will crave after you have them. I'm dining at Viaggio again this week and my mouth is watering in anticipation! Lovely spot.
A volcano of flavor. Best Italian restaurant in Toronto. Amazing, I loved every bit of each plate. It was so good I forgot to take pictures.
Amazing food and service, every single time. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything I didn’t like and I’ve now had nearly everything on the menu. I always look forward to coming again. Thanks for always being so great
Amazing food! The pizza is to die for, the TIRAMISU PANCAKES ARE A MUST TRY! waiters were so lovely !!!! 10/10 will come again!
Amazingly delicious. Service was impeccable.
Definitely will try again if they don't crushed by draconian, senseless measures our government is implementing and the people allow.
They care so much about public safety, which I super appreciate.
incredible pizza, great pasta - a new local favourite. the staff went out of their way to fit in our last-minute Valentine's Day take-out order. can't wait to return.
The brussel sprouts were Jawdroppingly Good.
Delicious menu. Great selection of wines, drinks and cocktails (and mocktails). Great atmosphere inside and out.
Great food and drinks, delightful atmosphere, and excellent service.
Fresh and delicious authentic Italian with Toronto flare. You HAVE to have the pancake desert xoxo
Amazing patio, great staff and delicious food!
Delicious cocktails and food! Love their outdoor patio! Totally inconspicuous from the street.
One of the best brunch spots in Toronto. Amazing food.
Incredible restaurant, one of the best I've been to in a while. I had their steak and it was exceptional.
Great food and service. Lovely patio.
Very good food. Slow, inconsistent service. Partially covered patio.
Nice patio, excellent food and wine.
A great spot for grub every time.
We discovered this absolute gem of a restaurant recently, and are now completely smitten with their pizza -- particularly the Prince of Bologna. Cannot wait to visit the patio soon!
Great food and nice patio
Oh mama love me some caci pep pep. Girlfriend and I had been meaning to come here for some time now and we were not disappointed! The service was friendly and the atmosphere was top notch. 100% good.
Tiramisu pancake is a must have.
Absolutely wonderful! Amazing food w/ creative twists, and great ambiance. We went for a girls dinner, but would be a nice spot for a date or family dinner etc.
Ordered the Valentines day set menu and drove up from Newmarket to pick up my order. The food was seasoned perfectly, well balanced and delicious!
Lots of good reviews so was surprised that the food really didn't hold up. Maybe it was an off day, but for the price we expected much better. Salad was soaked in vinegar, tagliolini was overdone, and the lobster pasta special was very meh.
Every dish was perfect. Rare to find such good good. Service from Roxy was warm and welcoming as well.
Great food and Service!
Gorgeous restaurant and patio. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Food is fabulous 😋
I’ve been to Viaggio twice and my experience was awesome both times. Highly recommend trying them out if you haven’t already. The food, drinks and service are all 5 star
I have had the pleasure of going to Viaggio twice since they opened this winter with my girlfriend on our Date Nights. This place is excellent!! Their servers are fun, timely, and very knowledgeable. The wine list is great and the food is incredible. I can’t wit for the patio to open and get the wood fired oven going! We will see you soon!!
Great appetizers. Great service great atmosphere. Some of the mains we shared left a bit to be desired. The the nduja and bone marrow pasta was way too smoky, it seemed like they put a whole bottle of liquid smoke in. It overpowered the dish.
The pork shoulder was great.
Another AMAZING meal at Viaggio. I went last fall for the first time and just had another delicious meal there this past weekend. The brussels sprouts were delish and the duck was melt in your mouth fantastic. And don't forget the dessert!! We had their chocolate something or other and it was fab. If you haven't been here don't hesitate. I can't wait for the patio to open in the summer.
Absolutely amazing Italian restaurant. Maybe because it's not downtown, I hadn't heard of this gem before, however after a client's recommendation, we decided to try it out and I'm glad we did. The food was fantastic! We're excited to head back in the near future.
Came here on a busy Saturday night with my wife and were very pleased.
Started with some cocktails, the bar tender made the beautifully and they tasted great!
The wait staff was shorthanded but it didn't show in their treatment of us or the quality of their service, both excellent.
As for our food it was very good. Appetizers and mains were delicious and the tiramisu pancakes were incredible.
Told a lot of friends about this joint. Thanks again!
Great Patio!!
The best
So lucky we have a world class restaurant in the neighborhood
Staff is great food believe it or not is the best
Warmest friendly place in T O
Congratulations
Walked by this spot randomly this afternoon and figured I'd give it a shot for dinner. This turned out to be a very good idea. Grabbed a Funghi and a Devil's Work pie, with a tiramisu for dessert. Gotta say, this place stacks up with some of the best Napolitane TO pizza joints. I live nearby so it's great to know these guys are around. Definitely need to try the other pies next time.
Went for a lovely dinner with my family and sat on the patio. It was beautiful and private. Service was impeccable and the food delicious.
Outstanding!
One of the best Italian restaurants in the city. Always a creative menu, very clever and well executed. A true gem.
Phenomenal
This west end restaurant was a bit out of the way for an eastender. But it was worth the travel. The dining area is quant and dark. For anybody over 50 would have a hard time reading the menu. The servers are friendly and helpful. Started with orange and fennel salad. Definitely one of the better salads I've had in a long time. Not an ordinary green salad. Octopus dish was flavourful and again not-an-ordinary dish. Both are sharing portions.
My bone marrow pasta was one of very few bone marrow dishes that I would recommend. I have had many versions of bone marrow dishes in Toronto and Montreal in the last 2, 3 years(It took me few years b4 I started to order "bone marrow" fare). The sauce was delicious. Only disappointment was the duck dish. The sauce was too sweet to compliment the duck, for my taste. It was good for the first few forkfuls then the sauce was too rich to finish two duck legs.
Overall, it was worth a drive through the traffic congested downtown to get here.
Such delicious food, welcoming staff and gorgeous patio!
Great atmosphere. Attentive service. Highlights were definitely the sweetbreads appetizer and pork shoulder main.
Amazing food, lovely patio, great service!
Love this place! Amazing food, amazing drinks and an unreal patio. Get there!
The bone marrow ragù was complex and delicious with a perfect amount of heat. The snow crab pasta was delicate and flavourful. Such a wonderful flavour contrast between the two dishes that I admired greatly.
We really enjoyed this new restaurant and the menu - which was not the same old thing. The cocktails wonderful, service fantastic and delicious food. Great decor, very chill and comfortable. Highly recommend!
