Terrible service at the entrance. We called ahead of time and we were told there was no list so we didn’t have to put out names down. But once at the entrance around 10pm when we were trying to get in we were told only parties of six and more were allowed in. So we ended up going to a different club but we really wanted to dance to Spanish music so we came back around 12 when we were finally let in but of course now there was a cover fee. Once inside the music was great! Definitely the place you want to go to if you wanna dance and get messed up on drinks. Just be careful because you kind of have to dance around the tables. But nevertheless it was still fun. Wish we could’ve gone in earlier instead of wasting our time and money finding other places to go to. They also had a variety of liquor so that was also nice.
I wish the security could be nicer. They raise their voice to people
They play good variety of music☝️🍻
Fun dance lesson and great teacher.
Super fun party! Expensive but worth it once in awhile!
Very nice place to entertaining
Love this place! Love the fun salsa lessons, the atmosphere, the upper and lower level, the music , the dancing and the people.
Very delicious food and dance floor for young and not so young!
Finding a spot to celebrate my bday during COVID was soo difficult because everything Was rlly boring. You only turn a quarter of a century once and I wanted to have a great time. Stephanie assisted in making reservations that made sure I got exactly what I wanted. We started off with some food and then finally got to the lounge. The bottle service men & woman were so amazing! They were extremely attentive and considering the amount of my party - they accommodated us to be in the same area but of course - within limits and 6ft apart from each group. I had a BLAST! My bday was a hit and I’m soooo glad they gave me such a fun birthday that one could have during a pandemic! Music was great and I can’t wait to return!
Really likes the DJ's music. Parties had to social distance to their booth area only and wear masks when leaving our respective areas but it was fun. The empanada girl didn't give me back my change and that was fine, because I was going to give it to her anyway but I prefer a show of honesty.
Expensive but hot girls. Need reservation
Small and hot place
Great restaurant that turns into a Latin Dance Club. They have instructors that teach some dance moves beforehand so if you don’t know how, then you get the chance to learn a few steps before the dancing starts. On Thursdays they have all three dance floors open. The first room is Kizomba, the second is Salsa and Downstairs it’s Bachata. Very Authentic place. People are polite and there is a good amount of good dancers to dance with. Definitely a place to go to if you want to have some fun along with authentic latin dancing
It's a nice venue; I particularly like how they have two types of dance halls with completely different vibes. It could be a little more modernized, but fun place overall!
So much fun and food was good(I ordered the fish fillet- portion size was filling. I found it economical to pay for the full course deal which included appetizer, main course and dessert with a ticket to the dance rooms plus lessons after dining hours.
Lots of fun on Saturdays
Been here twice. First was when we celebrated the bridal shower of my dear friend. I was not expecting much at the beginning but surprisingly the ambience is nice and food is amazing for $35 (package for dinner and dance)! Second time I invited some of my colleagues and they all liked the food especially the dancing part! Will definitely come back 🤗🤗🤗
The dinner and dance deal was really worth it. The food was really delicious and with huge portions and then the dance lesson was nice, good for beginners. Following the lesson they turn into a club with two floors. The first floor where we stayed played salsa music for about an hour followed by regular club music. There were quiet a few salsa dancers there showing off their skills which was fun to watch. Overall it was a lot of fun and I'd definitely go back.
Fun place to have some Latin time. Music was good, and prices are pretty fair.
Really up beat club. Lights were good. Bartenders were very nice, very on point with their drinks. Great atmosphere. Security handled situations with ease and a calm attitude, no hot heads. Felt safe.
Great food, amazing 2 level Latin dance floors. Will be coming again.
very clean and well known club it has been around for 30 years. there is an upstairs and downstairs 2 floors
The best place on a Thursday for Bachata and Salsa and just good vibes and energies
Honestly the club itself wasn't too bad, the music was good, the vibes were better than most other clubs. I personally hate clubbing but it was overall a better experience than the other places I've been. The only reason I didn't enjoy it was because of the average age of the people who were there. Most people appeared to be in their late 30s to early 40s, so it just made it a little weird for me. Still a decent experience though
Excellent food. Price is reasonable. Service is great. Really love the ambience. We usually get the sangria, empanada and paella. Love the place!!
Great spot! I live just down the street and come here all the time. The owner just asked me to leave a review and I’m not sure why I never did earlier. I’ve been coming here for years!
Great music. Thursday nights are always fun. Atmosphere is good. All levels of dance are together. Love the bachata
Perfect place !
ME Gusta Fridays are the best! Very good price too. Girls night out was a lot of fun.
I ordered the seafood platter to share with my husband. It was absolutely delicious. We had a tasty sangria and the nachos and guacamole as an appetizer. The food definitely is great, but the service was very slow. My husband and I got our meal after everyone at our table had finished eating, and we all got our food at different times. The club gets very, very crowded after a while, but the music and vibe downstairs are better than upstairs. It's a bit less crowded and aggressive in terms of space.
Music and service is great. Me and my sister's went clubbing there and had a lot of fun. The only thing that sucked was they didn't have coat check.
Good music and a good vibe. The dance floors were bigger than I was expecting, and there are two levels.
However, I can’t give it a full 5 stars because of false advertising. The website specifies cover is $12, but they were charging $14 per person. The lady at the entrance acknowledged the website price, but said the owner hadn’t bothered updating it.
Overall not a bad place to burn some calories. Fun and will probably go again.
This Latin club and restaurant in downtown Toronto has been around for a long time. The food is good. The crowd is mixed and varies on different nights. The service is fine. The parking is a little difficult and you may need to pay. There is an entrance fee, as well. It is 2 levels.
Service was on point! Music was good, at least the day we went. Only wish was it wasn't so crowded. $15 dollar entrance fee. I believe women are free before 11.
Very good lessons given out by a detail oriented instructor. The music was very danceable and it's clearly a popular club. No where to sit unless you leave the main area for dancing however. Bottle service booth clientele are a bit strange, I understand that is can make a club a lot of money but it's a bit 2000-and-late.
This place is a very energetic social hangout for Batchata lovers. However, my observation is that, the majority of the people are basically not accommodating to folks like me😋, who are learning the art of the dance. I left feeling that dancers are looking for partners who already know what they are doing on the dance floor and so have no patience to teach, and I can't blame them. They are there for a good time, I suppose.😏 In any event, I tried to learn as quickly as I could so was dancing some basic moves by the end of the night. Despite my hangups, I loved it! I did not know so many people hang out so late on a Thursday night...glad I had company. Overall, good place to dance the night away😁
Brilliant! Love the three different rooms.. Great space.. Good facilities... Amazing music.. And reasonable entry unlike some competitors... Will be a regular here :)
The music was very good and the crowd was a lot of fun. The only thing I didn't like was the bar service. The bar attendants were rude and when my friend and I ordered two mixed drinks we got a watered down version of what we payed for. Could barely taste any rum or coke in my rum and coke, was mostly ice. Lastly I asked for a glass of water later that night and they told me they can't serve me a glass of water they can only sell me a bottle of water, to which I find to be bad service. Water is a basic human need so I shouldn't have to buy a bottle when at any other club they give you a free glass of water.
Down stairs is good for watching other great dancers show off their moves. Upstairs is good for dancing. Ok drink prices. $15 cover when I went.
Fun Latin club, pretty clean, good spot to hang out - $10 cover most weekends.
I've only been here for salsa nights but it's a great place! The dancefloor is just big enough and drinks are moderately priced. The music sometimes can be a bit loud for the size of the space. Other than that it's fun!
Last time I went there, there were way too many dudes. Otherwise it's a good spot to dance. Go with a partner or a group and it's fun.
Mas Thursdays.
I had such a fun experience at this salsa club; the DJ, the music, the interior design was on point!
Everyone on the floor was very respectful of each other as well.
Lots of fun and great music! But we got in before 10:30 and they didn't give us the tickets for the club because we went to sit at the restaurant and then wanted to go to the club a little later, which was totally unfair. After explaining what happened they still refused, we spoke to the manager and she was quite rude and not helpful. But still an awesome place to hang out. Make sure you go right to the ticket sales before entering restaurant if you arrive before 10:30 and want to go to the club.
A mature crowd, everyone is there to truly dance! Only negative is how hot it gets! You will literally sweat as it gets super crowded. Love the 2 floor option and music on both.
I really like the vibe here and what can i say beautiful girls as always :) I wish i know how to do Salsa and Bachata. It’s a fun place after a long stressful week to get some latin energy.
Came on a Thursday night, which had the PERFECT amount of people there. Just enough space for everyone to dance and show off their moves. I can imagine this space getting totally packed and maybe less fun on weekends as it isn't wide, so I can't speak to coming on busier nights. My impression is that people do not come here on Thursdays if you haven't learned some more intermediate bachata or salsa moves. Or if you are a beginner, just bring a specific person to dance with you over and over. Everyone really respected that is was a dancing first, socializing second space. Which was exactly what I was looking for. For gals/follows who hesitate to come out on their own, do! Lots of great leads and all were respectful, no one is trying to hit on you. They are too focused on practicing their moves lol!
Love coming here with my boyfriend in the evenings to have a good time. Cover is only $10 and it is well worth it. Large facility, good music, and large clean mirrors.
Went here with friends to learn to salsa dance. The instructor was nice and a good instructor. Taught us the technicalities of dancing. After the lesson, the place turns into a night club and fills up fast.
Don't park across the street in the handicapped loading zone.
Sadly I don’t remember manager’s name but he is such a gentleman!
Very professionally dealt with our problem and I had a good night at this place!
Excellent
Three different rooms each with a different dance style makes this place special. All ages over 18 can find themselves there. And it's very affordable.
WOW so small no air circulation older age group. Nothing special bathrooms are disgusting good music but when your downtown there are many other better options for Spanish clubs / music.
What a fantastic time. The best place to have a birthday celebration. The food was perfect, service was amazing, the music and dancing was incredible and highly recommend the Sangria. Thank you!!!!
I came here for dinner with a girlfriend. The front of El Rancho is a restaurant, and the back has a club playing Latin music. It was a cute club and seemed very popular on a Saturday night. Although we didn't stay long at the club after dinner, I would come back to do some salsa dancing.
Our dinner was great. I had the Carne Asada (one of my favourite dishes). The food was delicious and full of flavour. My friend had the fish, which was equally as tasty. Everything tasted really authentic.
We had a pitcher of sangria. It was sooo sweet though. I'm not even sure if they had any alcohol in it.
Prices seemed a bit high for a non-fine dining experience, however, the food was so good, I'd probably come back anyway.
Great place for kizomba dance. Music is fabulous. Instructors are amazing. Folks are friendly. Ambience is incredible.
Always a blessed time. DJ Mechon and Nico P the best 🔥
owe my life to this place. my parents met here in 1992. never been though, gonna check it out, keep yall updated. peace and love.
Great place for a fun night out. Salsa dance lessons usually start around 9-930. Then the place turns into a salsa bar until 12 and a regular club after that.
I did the dinner and dance. The experience was amazing. The food was excellent and the dance teacher is very knowledgable in ballroom dance. Great place to dance all night and enjoy Spanish flavour.
It was a bit pricy for the music. I tried my best to dance but I think the people were all just so livid and cold, and moving to get warmer. Nice crowd.
Amazing food! Everything we ordered was fantastic!!! Seafood platter, steak platter and everything else just super!
I and my guests had a really good time. I appreciate the waitress the entertainers and the instructors. They all did a very good job and the food was good !!
Dance classes were so much fun easy to relax and learn!
Great music, friendly staff. Very cold in winter during the dancing lesson, it gets better during the club hours. Amazing dancers.
Nice place to go dancing with friends. Don’t recommend to go on a Thursday because it is usually packed by professional dancers and there is no space to dance. There is a lot of mature people 35+.
Besides that, there are two levels and 3 bars in total.
El Rancho is a midsize 2 story Latin club with a restaurant in the front. Cover is free before 10pm I believe, and $15 thereafter even for the ladies. There are three bars, a DJ on the main level dance floor playing salsa and Bachata and downstairs is more Bachata / Reggaeton. It's a fun time. The place is busy on Fri/Sat. If you're looking for more room on the dance floor, head there on a Thursday.
Geraldine the waiter was doing really nice service for me and friends .I will come back asap
Went for the food and dancing. Food was great and quite authentic. The dancing was fun and definitely gets crowded. Go early.
It is a nice place, but would be better if the top level they were to play newer music and on the basement more of the oldies
Was there last night good music, loving the two dance floors, so it is not crowded in order to dance better.
One of the best clubs to go on Friday! Great music and the DJ.
Nice latin club at night. It is very packed but the music is excellent. A lot of great dancers too.
Get lost in a Latin dance place:) it is not intimidating, even for those who are just learning the steps.
2 dance floors on different levels give you options, plus you can grab a bite at a restaurant before dancing your night away:)
