We celebrated our anniversary there last night and we couldn't have been happier. You're greeted nicely at the door and coat checked to us being seated and them giving us a card signed by the staff and confetti for the table, it was amazing. Our server (Don) was exceptional, very nice and on top of everything. Highly recommend going. Food & Drink 100%, Service 100%, Atmosphere 100%

We had a wonderful experience at Ruth's Chris. Server Brian and his staff gave us more than adequate attention. He explained the entire menu and beer selection (can/bottle, not draught) as well as walking providing stalwart customer service attention to our special occasion. My wife was quite impressed with the mocktail selection and the portions were perfect.

My boyfriend took me here for the first time on our anniversary recently. I would absolutely recommend eating here not just because the food was absolutely amazing but the service was immaculate. I wish I could remember our servers name but he was also bartending that night and I was very pleased with how wonderful he made my first experience there. We will be back!

Went for a birthday and felt really taken care of. The food is absolutely amazing. We ordered the prime time 2 course and it was the perfect amount of food. The steak was perfect and the brandy pepper sauce is a must have. Service was great and lots of helpful staff. Good wine selection. Definitely a good place place a special occasion. Will be back to try out all those delicious sounding appies.

The steak is five stars. A perfect medium rare slightly on the rarer side exactly the way I believe medium rare should be done. Served on a hot plate to keep it warm - perfection imo. Good selection of wine. The manager was exceptional calling us the day after to ask us about our meal. Above and beyond on that one! The bathroom tap scalded my hand though so I had to take a star off. Service was decent.

My other half and I + 2 babies went for dinner here last night. I would have to say this was the best service I have had dining in Edmonton. I have eaten at many fine dining restaurants and the service from the server was by far the best we have had. Not to mention the interior of this place is beautiful! The price of the steak we ordered (porterhouse) was defiantly worth it. The drinks were really good and had many options. I would defiantly return to this place or recommended anyone wanting to celebrate a special occasion or treat yourself to a great steak! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing! Loved the service, loved the atmosphere and the food. Could not have asked for a better experience. We sat at the bar and both bartenders were so nice and chatty. If we are ever back in Edmonton, and I'm sure we will, this is definitely a restaurant I'll revisit.

We went to Ruth’s Chris for our Years of Service Celebration for our employees, and we had fantastic evening! The food was amazing – everything was cooked perfectly and was so delicious. The service was prompt, friendly – overall excellent, and the atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for. All 24 of us were seated in the Library Room at one large table which was perfect. This is a yearly event our company plans, and we are already looking forward to being back at Ruth’s Chris next year!

My husband and I had dinner here for the first time on Saturday. It was hands down the best experience! Maggie the GM was so accommodating, professional, and sweet. Our service was amazing! Courtney, our server went above and beyond to make sure that our dinner service was incredible and it was! Lastly- the food was AMAZING! We were still talking about it all day the next day! Definitely recommend for a special occasion or a date night. Ask for Courtney to be your server! 👌🏼

The way they make their steak with the extreme high temperature grill definitely makes a difference. Comparing to normal grill, there is an element of "more" when it comes to amazing sear and tenderness of the meat ratio. Also..... creamed spinach!

I return tho this restaurant every year when in town due to the fantastic service and food. Scott and Rory behind the bar are incredible and create environment that feels like home. The food is amazing and drink offerings compliment the meal nicely. Great job as always and I can’t wait to return when I’m back in town next year.

I was taken here for a birthday present from one of my friends. It was a interesting experience. The staff was funny and acomadating. Even the few oops that happened were minor. The prices are high for it is a higher end restaurant and you should be prepared for that depending on your affluence. The food itself was tasty and enjoyed my steak very much. The drinks also were very nice. The cocktails and the bottle of wine we shared. Did not leave hungry. The setting is romantic and does not have loud music so it is possible to have conversations.

We went there for my son's wedding supper, we got the vault room and there was 10 of us. Everything was absolutely delicious, the steak just melted in your mouth and the service was excellent. So you have something special coming up do not hesitate to make a reservation. The parking was kinda of hard because all the roads been closed due to construction. But other then that I would love to go back again sometime.

I chose this place for my Birthday dinner 2 years ago now. It was very fancy!! The steak and sides were very good...NOT the best ever... but very good. For my birthday they had made it special. Made a nice dessert on the house and the cake was a very nice size. The staff/servers were very professional and that made the dining experience that much better!

The service is personal and exceptional. Price is in the higher end but very reasonable. We had the Wednesday date night special and it was much cheaper than I planned to spent. Scallops and asparagus were a bit dry though. Recommended if you are looking for fine dining experience.

GF took me here for my birthday and we got a very nice seat in the restaurant. The restaurant is family style dining so you order your entree and your sides. In total with a drink expect to spend about 100 per person. I ordered the 16oz Rib Eye with the asparagus and au gratin. Everything came in a timely fashion and I really enjoyed the experience. Definitely not an everyday meal but I'd definitely consider them if I wanted a steakhouse night

I had an unforgettable experience at Ruth Chris. Their customer service was top notch. Their food was delicious. Especially their rib eye steak. This is the place to have romantic and intimate moments. Parking on site, but paid. Price was reasonable for the quality of food that you will get.

Just had the best experience celebrating birthdays! Food was phenomenal, service (our waiter was Don) exceptional. If you leave this place still hungry you're crazy. Appetizer (mushroom caps stuffed with crab meat) were the size of teacups. Had to bring desserts home for later. All of the staff were the best.

Staff won't treat you right if you're not well dressed for some reason. My wife went to eat at their restaurant with her friend dressed casually, and the waiter was absolutely rude to her until it was her time to pay and give him tip. Giving 3 stars because the food is good! Great Ambiance! Best Cheesecake! But please, don't treat your customers bad because they're not "well-dressed"

We had the best experience tonight for our anniversary. Aggie and the wonderful woman that was training with her treated us like gold from the start. The food was beyond impeccable. We started with crab cakes that had the most crab meat in them than any other crab cake I’ve had! I had a filet and my husband had a ribeye. Each steak was cooked to perfection. The longer it sat on the plate the more delicious and juicy it became and stayed warm for the entire time I was eating. The Brussels sprouts were delicious as were the potatoes au gratin. We finished with the creme brûlée which was flawless. Overall - it was an intimate and polished experience that we really appreciated. We will absolutely return for another special occasion and wanted to send an extra thanks to all those involved in our experience tonight.

First time here and wow! Extremely happy and impressed. We booked a reservation which I strongly advise if you want a table right away. The food was amazing. We started with the crab cakes which were by far the best I’ve ever had. My boyfriend had the fillet and I had the petit fillet & shrimp. We shared the au gratin as a side. This was our first time trying steak at a restaurant and we were impressed with how tender and flavourful they were. The shrimp and au gradin were equally delicious. We finished with the creme brûlée and banana cream pie and again so amazing! The staff was awesome and checked in often. Everything about our experience was great. Thank you.

I cannot describe the quality of food I received, it was so good. The service we received was utterly exemplary. I ordered the cowboy ribeye, fries, and cheese cake for dessert with mint tea as well as a shrimp cocktail for an appetizer. Everything served was exemplary in its category. There isn't much else to say. We didn't receive a single bad item or bad service during our time at the restaurant. I would recommend to anyone who wants a steak and is willing to pay for it.

Oh my god... The food was out of this world. I really don't have words to express it. Just can't believe that the steak was so flavourful. I didn't want it to finish as every bite was pure bliss. The sauteed kale was great too and so were the mashed potatoes. The cheesecake was the best I ever had. But the steak was on a different level altogether.

Booked a reservation a week in advance. A romantic day of adventure! When we arrived, there was no parking available. Took 20 minutes to find a parking spot. Despite having a reservation, we waited another 15 minutes for a seat even though there were a few open tables. This would be the running theme for the night. Don't get me wrong, a nice slow pace dining experience is okay. This was beyond that which is tenable. I could go on, but the short story is, incorrect order taking, forgetful, slow service. No offer of a wine pairing with the meal. Lackluster ribeye, and mediocre sides. The waiter was inattentive and delivered less than the exceptional service to which these high prices demand. Honestly, we get better service and a tastier steak at Montana's. Ouch. Going to a restaurant which claims to be of such high caliber, and which is a special event that only occurs but once in a decade for us means the experience must match the prices. I had been planning and saving for this for months. Anticipating a real classy, quality dining experience. When I pay nearly 100$ for a steak, it had better be the steak of a lifetime. This isn't just a one off bad experience, there are many others. Some may feel like they cannot voice it. Having been in hospitality for many years at an advanced level, I know what it takes to provide, and what is expected in regards to service. Tbh, the prices they charge border on fraud, given the level of service. Not easy to hear, I know. UPDATE: The call that was made to me by Maggie was very helpful. She and I discussed the situation and was informed by her that the company did not indeed endorse or encourage that service. Changes would be made, and reinforced to me her disappointment in the level of service we received that evening. We ended up finding a solution and I commend the establishment for following up diligently to rectify the situation, and make solutions. Very well done. Thank you Ruth and Chris.

Had a dinner here. Ordered a ribeye. Meat was fairly dry. Think my last few bites were the only bites that were juicy, tender and succulent. Seasoning was good. Got creamed spinach and finished with the chocolate brownie dessert, was probably the best part. Service was good though. Got a birthday card from the staff as well.

We had a very pleasant experience here for our anniversary supper. Being Wednesday night they had a Wednesday couple's special, glass of wine each, appetizer, meat, 2 sides, and desserts for $120 for the two of us. It was enough that we were full but not overly so. Our waiter James was very friendly and efficient, always keeping an eye on us but giving us space and time to enjoy ourselves.

Been meaning to post for a while, but I can't wait until Ruth's opens back up for dining! My wife and I dined just before the shutdown in December and it was such a memorable meal! From the moment we walked in we felt safe and comfortable. The staff took the utmost precautions and adhered to all the measures. The service was superb and the food, delicious as usual. My wife and I are itching for a great evening out and we know Ruth's will be our first choice.

My friend and I dined at Ruth's recently for my birthday supper. The food was fantastic, and the desert was to die for, the best chocolate cake I've ever had, not a word of a lie! The atmosphere was wonderful, we were sat right by the big white fireplace which was so beautiful! The service was outstanding, remarkable even. They really went out of their way to make me feel special for my birthday too, giving me a card and spreading birthday confetti on the table for us. Plus the desert was on the house. I was wished a happy birthday by all the staff, even the manager. They are a very high class restaurant, but are not snooty! I will definately be returning!

Hands down the best restaurant Edmonton has to offer. My wife and I always arrange a reservation once a year. Although it is very pricey, its is worth every penny. From the service to the food, this restaurant hits it out of the park on every front. Our recent outing on December 11/20 solidified this, the staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed every aspect of the night and the kitchen staff once again proved that this is truly the best steak you will ever have. The next morning I received a phone call from the General Manager thanking us for attending. Very classy gesture. Side note: the crackling sound of butter on your steak when served to you is the highlight! Thank you Ruth Chris for another phenomenal experience! We will most definitely be back.

My boyfriend and I choose to celebrate his birthday here based upon the reviews. However, we were both very disappointed by this restaurant. To begin, the atmosphere of this place made it really hard for us to enjoy our dinner. I ordered a medium well steak and noticed a lot of blood on my plate upon cutting into it. I was told that it was most likely because "it is a thicker piece". When I got home and had real lighting, I noticed how under cooked my meat was. In my opinion a restaurant that specialized in steak, should know how to cook it properly no matter what the cut of the meat is. All flavoring of the steak is literally melted butter. The mashed potatoes were not very warm and the Asparagus had little to no seasoning/flavor. The only good thing about this restaurant was the service provided by the waiter. He was very friendly and advised which items on the menu were best to order. Dessert was on the house, which was Cheesecake and again it was really nothing special. For the price of this restaurant the food really is not worth it. You can definitely have a better seasoned steak from an everyday place like the Keg.

Executive class service. My meal was phenomenal and steak has the most mouth watering taste in the entire city,when it comes to American frenchise Ruth Cris prize dont matter they have space in the basement for private gaterings and birthday parties on top they were the first in Downtown Edmonton who install electric car charger located at the southeast of the building THANKS YOU SO MUCH to have me there.
